About The Position
Under the direction and supervision of the Program Director/Coordinator, the Program Instructor I will be primarily responsible for providing quality leadership and supervision, in aerobic and/or fitness classes, while maintaining a safe, non-competitive environment for YMCA members.
Requirements
- A minimum of 18 years of age.
- Ability to learn and successfully demonstrate aerobic choreography.
- Verbally provide clear concise directions and visually inspect classroom for safety
- Maintain current certifications in CPR AED, First Aid, Safety & Risk Management, Child Abuse Prevention, New Employee Orientation and other wellness department and designated Branch training, or the ability to obtain within 60-90 days of employment.
Nice To Haves
- Experience leading group exercise is preferred.
- Knowledge of basic exercise science and fitness class leadership is preferred.
