The Microsoft Cloud Infrastructure Finance team is an exciting and fast-evolving team at the forefront of Microsoft’s Cloud-first strategy. We are looking for talented and motivated individuals to help shape the future of our cloud products. The team’s charter is to build out end to end Microsoft Cloud Infrastructure while driving down unit cost of capacity, ensuring cloud services achieve gross margin growth. As a crucial member of the team, you will support short and long-term investments leveraging extensive modeling and competitive intelligence. The focus is hardware cost reduction initiatives from product concept to production approval to ramp, keeping Microsoft Cloud ahead of competition, while enhancing transparency into Cloud Infrastructure investments and safeguarding shareholder interest Microsoft's mission is to empower every person and organization on the planet to achieve more. Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 4+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field OR Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 6+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field OR equivalent experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 12+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership, or finance work experience OR Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 15+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership, or finance work experience OR equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years experience managing direct reports.
  • 5+ years experience in multinationals with multi-product/multi-segment finance roles.
  • 5+ years work experience in matrix-based organization.
  • 5+ years work experience in the technology or software industry.
  • Prior experience in product cost and/or product development finance is highly valued.

Responsibilities

  • Transform complex data into clear, forward looking insights that guide strategic decision making. Communicates key trends and recommendations to senior leadership and develops actionable plans from ambiguous or long term analyses. Coaches the team to simplify data into compelling, actionable narratives and builds shared understanding across business partners.

Partners with senior business and commercial leaders to drive performance and strategy to achieve the best return on investment (ROI) and shareholder return.
