About The Position

The Group Facilitator is responsible for providing group therapy. Group facilitators are essential for guiding groups through discussions, managing dynamics, and ensuring that objectives are met in a collaborative and inclusive manner. Their role is pivotal in creating a productive environment where all participants can contribute effectively.

Requirements

  • Preferably graduation from an accredited college or university with a health-related degree. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Experience may substitute for degree. Minimum High School Diploma or GED.
  • Preferably a minimum of 2 years experience with chemical dependency and/or dual diagnosed clients, preferably in an out-patient setting.
  • Must have two years of sobriety prior to hire, if recovering from a substance use disorder and participate in a self-help program.
  • Preferably Licensed, registered and/or actively working towards certification to practice clinical discipline, if applicable.
  • CRSS certification and above (preferred or willing/able to obtain)
  • Minimum of an ADCA required
  • Knowledge of principles and practices of the discipline.
  • Adheres to: Healthcare Code of Ethics.
  • Knowledge of Joint Commission Standards.
  • Federal And State Regulations.
  • Demonstrates Proficiency in Verbal and in Written Communication Skills.
  • Knowledge of State & Federal Statutes Regarding: Client Confidentiality, Drug-Free Workplace, Workplace Violence Prevention, Corporate Integrity & Compliance
  • Adults or adolescents
  • Familiar with community resources

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate knowledge of chemical dependency and addictions and utilize knowledge and skills to access and meet the client’s treatment needs and requirements.
  • Document as required in client chart.
  • Conduct process groups, educational, chemical dependency, and other groups as assigned.
  • Ability to work as a team member, demonstrating maturity under stress and objectivity.
  • Demonstrate good communication skills.
  • Perform in a professional manner and role models a positive image of substance use.
  • Report abuses of clients’ rights immediately.
  • Participate in obtaining the client’s informed consent for procedures, treatments, and research, as appropriate.
  • Act decisively and effectively in managing staff, clients, and other employees during emergency situations.
  • Protect the privacy of all client information in accordance with GRNH, LLC’s privacy policies, procedures and practices, as required by federal and state law, and in accordance with general principle of professionalism as a healthcare provider. Failure to comply with the company’s policies and procedures on client privacy may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment.
  • May access protected health information (PHI) and other patent information only to the extent that it is necessary to complete your job duties. The incumbent may only share such information with those who have a specific client information you have in your possession to complete their job responsibilities related to treatment, payment or other GRNH, LLC operations.
  • Expected to report, without the threat of retaliation, any concerns regarding GRNH, LLC’s policies and procedures on client privacy and any observed practices in violation of the policy to their supervisor.
  • Perform other capacities as needed.
  • Peer recovery educational groups if ADCA certified or above.
