About The Position

This center is a dually licensed, Mental Health and Substance Use treatment program located in Palm Beach, FL. This center is seeking part time-per diem, Group Facilitators, to join our multi-dynamic team. As a Group Facilitator, you will be responsible for leading therapeutic group sessions and providing support to individuals in a clinical setting. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of others. The ideal Group Facilitator is empathetic and knows appropriate boundaries, they have passion for helping others in recovery, they have knowledge of DSM 5 and 12 steps, and they can demonstrate multicultural competency in the workplace. Group Facilitators will be responsible for running mental health, substance use and/or dual diagnosis groups during the week. Schedule Monday-Saturday, 9:00-4:00 pm

Requirements

  • 1+ years' experience as a group facilitator in Substance Abuse and Mental Health settings
  • Masters Degree in human services field, licensed preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year experience in behavioral health or addiction treatment.
  • Skilled in group dynamics, documentation, and trauma-informed care.
  • Dependable, professional, and culturally competent, ability to work a flexible, per diem schedule

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a residential or outpatient rehab setting.
  • Familiarity with DSM-5 diagnostic criteria

Responsibilities

  • Conduct group sessions on topics relating to substance use and mental health
  • Document group progress notes with accurate and factual information
  • Communicates effectively with all departments regarding client issues
  • Utilize cognitive behavioral therapy techniques to help individuals develop coping strategies
  • Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Facilitate discussions and activities to promote emotional healing and personal growth
  • Demonstrates professionalism from adhering to dress code to interactions with team members
  • Complies with company policies and procedures and local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Communicates with the clinical director as needed to assist in identifying and correcting problem areas and or improving services
  • Implement crisis intervention techniques when necessary to ensure the safety of participants
  • Has effective time management skills
  • Responsible to complete all group notes in a timely manner
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
