About The Position

Profound Treatment is seeking a contracted Group Facilitator to join their team, focusing on mental health and substance use disorder treatment. The role involves facilitating group counseling and psychoeducational classes, providing support to clients in residential programs, and ensuring compliance with documentation standards.

Requirements

• Must be a certified SUD counselor through CCAPP / CAADE or CADTP.
• Must have group facilitation experience.
• Must have prior work experience in the substance use disorder treatment field.
• Must be able to accurately document client's group participation.
• Must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
• Must have knowledge and ability to use counseling techniques to educate, elicit feelings, facilitate self-understanding and motivate the client.
• Ability to communicate compassionately and effectively with clients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate group counseling/therapy sessions and psychoeducational classes.
• Compose individualized group notes for each client and document in KIPU.
• Complete all required documentation within DHCS and TJC standards and time frames.
