About The Position
The Sylvia Brafman Mental Health Center is seeking a dedicated Group Facilitator to join our team at a Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) level of care, primarily focused on mental health treatment. This position is based in Tamarac, FL, and involves leading therapeutic groups designed to support individuals in their mental health journey. The Group Facilitator will be responsible for conducting 1-2 groups on Saturdays and 1-2 groups during the week, preferably on Tuesdays or Thursdays. Each group session will last for 1.5 hours, during which the facilitator will engage participants in meaningful discussions and activities related to the provided topic. While topics will be assigned, the facilitator is encouraged to develop creative activities and lesson plans that may incorporate various therapeutic modalities, including art therapy and music therapy. This role is crucial in fostering a supportive environment where clients can express themselves and work towards their mental health goals.
