GROUP/EXPRESSIVE ARTS THERAPIST
About The Position
The Horsham Clinic is seeking energetic, creative and mission-focused Expressive Arts Therapists The ideal candidate should have experience in any of the following: Recreational Therapy Occupational Therapy Process-based Therapy Music Therapy Yoga / Movement Therapy Dance Therapy Art Therapy If you are eager to make a meaningful impact by leading top-notch inpatient therapy services, we would love to hear from you! The Expressive Arts Therapist is an active member of the treatment team and is responsible in developing individualized interventions to assist patients in meeting their treatment goals. The Expressive Arts Therapist is also responsible to provide a variety of group therapies consistent with the clinical needs of the population and the philosophy and objectives of The Horsham Clinic.
Requirements
- Combination of Bachelor's Degree AND Certification in above mentioned therapies OR Master's Degree and qualifying experience required
- Inpatient psychiatric population experience preferred
- Knowledge of individual/group/family therapies, group leadership skills, age specific growth and development, crisis and behavior management.
- Knowledge of principles and practices relevant to nursing and patient care activities
- Ability to plan, direct, and monitor other activities with demonstrated leadership abilities that contribute to a positive work environment
- Flexibility for float reassignment to units providing care to varied populations including children, adolescents, adults, older adults and dually diagnosed patients in an inpatient hospital setting.
- Must be a team player and demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication
