About The Position

The Greater Philadelphia YMCA is seeking a certified Group Fitness Instructor who is passionate about transforming lives through group exercise classes. Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent
• YMCA Foundations of Group Exercise certification with experience or National certification
• Exhibit strong leadership skills
• Possess a passion for member service and building a culture of member service excellence

Responsibilities

• Set an example of healthy living and personal fitness
• Prepare routines and/or choreography within YMCA standards
• Provide support and encouragement to members and reinforce healthy lifestyles
• Ensure the safety and well-being of members and staff, notifying supervisor of any safety hazards or concerns
• Provide excellent service to all members and notify supervisor of member needs, supplies or other items needed to ensure program quality and member satisfaction
• Ensure that safe movement and technique is utilized by every member in all classes
• Maintain knowledge of emergency and safety procedures and maintain records on any incidents
