Working under close supervision for routine situations, this role collaborates with participants to lead fitness classes and create a safe and inviting exercise environment.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• A nationally accredited certification from a recognized organization or equivalent specialty certification such as ACE, ACSM, AEA, WaterArt, IFTA, AFAA, or Yoga Alliance
• BLS/CPR certified by the American Red Cross of AHA Healthcare provder

Responsibilities

• Helps lead safe and effective group exercise classes to improve participant health.
• Assists with educating participants on the proper form, anatomy, and modifications of exercise moves to promote safety and effectiveness of exercises.
• Ensures the safety of participants while using the facility's fitness equipment.
• Adapts classes to meet the varying needs of fitness ability to ensure that all participants are benefiting from the class.
• Maintains cleanliness of the group fitness studio to uphold a positive reputation with customers.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
