About The Position

The District Executive Director is a key role within Florida's First Coast YMCA with an opportunity to be innovative and make a difference by expanding the Y's footprint within the community. This role provides an exciting opportunity to direct strategic planning efforts and develop the annual operating plans of three YMCA branches in Clay and Baker Counties in Florida. Located in Northeast Florida, Clay and Baker Counties are a short commute from Jacksonville, FL. Clay County is the home of the Dye Clay Family YMCA (34,000 square feet) located in Orange Park, FL and the Barco-Newton Family YMCA (37,845 square feet) located in Fleming Island, FL. Both locations feature state-of-the-art strength and cardio equipment, free weights, two group exercise studios, cycle studio, indoor basketball gymnasium and KidZone. Daystar, a facility for people with developmental disabilities, is also uniquely available at these two locations. The Dye Clay Y also boasts an 8-lane, 25-yard seasonal outdoor pool, Esports lab, camp building and a family adventure center. Also available at the Barco-Newton Y is a 6-lane, year-round, outdoor heated pool. Nearby, the Plantation Sports Complex, managed through partnership with Clay County and the YMCA of Florida's First Coast, features athletic fields, restrooms and a concession area, which have been valuable assets to our growing youth sports programming in the area. Additionally, our Before & Afterschool program is offered at all 26 elementary schools in the county, with Y Reads and Summer Day Camp also offered at on- and off-site locations. Baker County includes an 8-lane seasonal pool and offers youth, teen, and active older adult programming.
