About The Position

Project Lift is a multi-state Retro Fitness franchise group backed by BlackRock , operating high-volume fitness clubs across Texas, Florida, and New York. We’re expanding fast and looking for a Group Exercise Director to oversee all group fitness operations in Long Island and Queens. This role leads instructor hiring, class programming, and quality control across multiple clubs. The ideal candidate is organized, energetic, and experienced in managing group fitness programs remotely while keeping classes engaging and consistent across all locations.

Requirements

3+ years of multi-site or regional group exercise leadership preferred
National certification (AFAA, ACE, NASM, ISSA, etc.)
CPR/AED certified
Excellent organization and communication skills
Experience managing teams remotely
Willingness to travel 30–50%

Responsibilities

Recruit, onboard, and coach group exercise instructors across assigned clubs
Maintain up-to-date instructor certifications and regional sub lists
Build and manage weekly class schedules based on demand and feedback
Launch group exercise programs during new club presale and openings
Conduct in-person and virtual audits to maintain brand standards
Support Club and Fitness Managers with coverage, training, and engagement
Partner on presale events, promotions, and community activations
