About The Position

The Group Exercise Instructor plays a pivotal role in promoting health and wellness within the community by leading engaging and dynamic group fitness classes. This position is responsible for creating a positive and motivating environment that encourages participants of all fitness levels to achieve their personal health goals. Instructors will design and implement diverse class formats, ensuring that each session is safe, effective, and enjoyable. Additionally, the instructor will provide guidance on proper exercise techniques and modifications to accommodate individual needs. Ultimately, the Group Exercise Instructor aims to foster a sense of community and support among participants, contributing to their overall fitness journey.

Requirements

  • Current certification in group exercise instruction from a recognized organization (e.g., ACE, AFAA, or similar).
  • Demonstrated experience leading group fitness classes with a strong understanding of exercise principles.
  • strong communication and interpersonal abilities, which are essential for engaging with participants and creating a welcoming environment.
  • Instructors must possess a solid understanding of exercise techniques and safety protocols, allowing them to provide effective guidance and modifications.
  • Leadership skills are crucial, as the instructor will motivate and inspire participants to achieve their fitness goals.
  • Organizational skills are necessary for planning and executing diverse class formats while ensuring a smooth flow of each session.

Nice To Haves

  • Specialty certifications in specific fitness modalities (e.g., Pilates, kickboxing, or dance).
  • Experience working with diverse populations, including seniors, individuals with disabilities, or those new to fitness.

Responsibilities
