About The Position
If you enjoy working outdoors mowing, bush-hogging, weed-eating, doing small repairs, have knowledge of tractors and taking care of animals we have a position available. We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking individual to join our team as a Farm Hand. As a Farm Hand, you will be responsible for assisting with various tasks related to farm operations and animal care. This is a hands-on role that requires physical stamina and a passion for working in an agricultural environment.
Requirements
- Experience operating heavy equipment in an agricultural setting
- Knowledge of animal husbandry practices and procedures
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization in farm buildings and animal enclosures
- Familiarity with greenhouse operations and plant care
- Proficiency in using hand tools for various farming tasks
- Basic knowledge of equipment repair and maintenance
- Understanding of garden maintenance techniques
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Must pass background check and random drug testing
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with equine animals is a plus
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues is preferred
Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment, such as tractors and loaders, to perform tasks such as tilling soil, planting crops, and moving materials
- Assist with animal husbandry duties, including feeding, watering, and general care for livestock
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of barns, stables, and animal enclosures
- Assist with greenhouse operations, including planting, watering, and maintaining plants
- Utilize hand tools for tasks such as pruning, weeding, and harvesting crops
- Perform basic equipment repairs and maintenance as needed
- Assist with garden maintenance, including planting, watering, and harvesting vegetables
- Provide care for equine animals, including grooming and exercising
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues
- Ensure the overall health and well-being of animals under your care
