Groundskeeper

The Groundskeeper will work under the supervision of the Groundskeeping Manager or Supervisor and perform a variety of groundskeeping duties for C&W Services. Such duties shall be in accordance with established standards, instructions, and procedures of C&W Services. The role involves maintaining the grounds for all lawns, fields, walks, pathways, roads, and parking lots at the client location. The Groundskeeper is expected to perform essential functions such as mowing lawns using hand or power mowers, trimming and edging around walks, flower beds, and walls using clippers, weed cutters, and edging tools. Additionally, the Groundskeeper will prune shrubs and trees to shape and improve growth or remove damaged leaves, branches, or twigs using shears, pruning shears, or chain saws. The position also requires spraying lawns, shrubs, and trees with fertilizers, herbicides, and insecticides using hand or automatic sprayers. Other responsibilities include raking and bagging or burning leaves, cleaning grounds and removing litter, planting grass, flowers, trees, and shrubs, and watering lawns and shrubs using hoses or by activating fixed or portable sprinkler systems. The Groundskeeper will also be responsible for repairing fences, gates, walls, and walks using carpentry and masonry tools, cleaning out drainage ditches and culverts, and performing grounds maintenance tasks using tractors equipped with attachments such as mowers, lime or fertilizer spreaders, and lawn rollers. The role requires sharpening tools and following all C&W Services and site-specific health and safety rules and regulations. The Groundskeeper may also be assigned other duties to support C&W Services in delivering its mission to the client.
