About The Position

The Groundskeeper at a luxury resort is responsible for maintaining the appearance, safety, and functionality of the resort’s extensive 12,000-acre landscape. Duties include mowing, trimming, pruning, planting, irrigation maintenance, and general landscaping across lawns, gardens, trails, recreational areas, and guest spaces to ensure a clean and visually appealing environment. The role involves operating and maintaining landscaping equipment, monitoring plant health, managing weeds and pests, and assisting with seasonal landscape projects. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work outdoors in varying conditions while supporting the high standards and guest experience expected at a luxury resort.

Requirements

Prior experience in landscaping, groundskeeping, or outdoor maintenance preferred.
Ability to safely operate landscaping equipment such as mowers, trimmers, and blowers.
Physical ability to perform outdoor labor, including lifting, bending, walking, and working in varying weather conditions.
Strong attention to detail, reliability, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Maintain the appearance and health of the resort’s 12,000-acre landscape through mowing, trimming, pruning, planting, and general landscaping tasks.
Operate and maintain landscaping equipment and tools safely and efficiently.
Inspect and maintain irrigation systems, trails, gardens, and outdoor guest areas to ensure proper function and safety.
Monitor plant and turf health, identify issues such as weeds, pests, or disease, and assist with appropriate treatment and care.
Support seasonal landscaping projects and collaborate with the grounds team to uphold the high aesthetic standards of a luxury resort.
