Cumberland Heights Foundation offers a comprehensive benefits program, which includes: · Medical, Dental and Vision effective 1st day of month following 28 days of employment · Employer Contribution for Health Saving Account or Health Reimbursement Account · 401K with Company match and eligibility after 90 days of employment · Paid Time Off (PTO) accrual beginning day (1) one and up to 20 days of PTO the first year POSITION SUMMARY The groundskeeper performs a wide variety of landscaping and grounds maintenance functions. The groundskeeper is responsible for maintaining grounds at Cumberland Heights River Road Campus to ensure the safe and efficient operation and presentation of the facility grounds and landscaping.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED is preferred.
  • Experience in groundskeeping, mowing equipment operation, and basic mechanical skills required.
  • Ability to problem-solve, analyze, and interpret information associated with equipment.
  • Ability to physically make repairs where equipment is located.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to effectively speak, read and write in English.
  • Ability to maintain clean, well-manicured grounds by mowing evenly and consistently, identifying areas requiring additional care, and recognizing mechanical issues or maintenance needs in equipment before they become larger problems.
  • Ability to efficiently plan and complete mowing schedules and equipment repairs within designated timeframes, prioritizing tasks based on weather conditions, seasonal demands, and operational needs.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with maintenance staff and supervisors to ensure grounds are maintained safely and effectively, while supporting overall facility operations.
  • Ability to clearly communicate maintenance needs, equipment concerns, safety issues, and progress updates to supervisors and team members in a timely and professional manner.
  • Demonstrated dependability in attendance, punctuality, and consistent performance, with the ability to work independently, follow assigned schedules, and maintain equipment responsibly.
  • If recovering, one year of verifiable abstinence required with two years preferred; active participation in a twelve-step program preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preoperational inspection of mowers and equipment.
  • Assist with preventive maintenance and minor repairs on facilities groundskeeping tools and equipment.
  • Ensure that maintenance and repair tasks are completed according to established safety procedures and guidelines.
  • Verify all tools and equipment are in safe working order prior to operation, with all safety features and guards in place and operating as they should.
  • Mow/edge/trim lawns, courtyards, green spaces, parking lot islands. (mowing task details and perimeters will be set and assigned by Manager)
  • Assist with trimming hedges and shrubs with hand shears or power edger, and plants using handsaws, chainsaws, and clippers.
  • Pick up and dispose trash and debris in assigned areas using rakes, brooms, and blowers.
  • Support seasonal landscaping projects.
  • Assist as directed with planting and maintaining all flowerbeds based on annual seasonal requirements.
  • Operate blower for cleaning sidewalks, leaf removal, driveways and roadways of snow, gravel, and small debris or litter.
  • Available for alternate, evening and weekend schedules and shifts may be required to meet client needs, state and regulatory agency requirements and business necessity.
  • Maintain appropriate professional boundaries with current and former clients, client family members, and referral sources.
  • Comply with company’s code of conduct.
  • Ensure that a welcoming, safe, and healing environment is maintained for each patient and family throughout the continuum of care.
  • Protects the confidentiality of patient and company information.
  • Reacts productively to change.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
