Position Purpose: Saint Alphonsus is looking for a Groundskeeper to add to their team in Boise. Requirements

  • Must have active driving privileges.

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year of landscape maintenance experience preferred.
  • Experience working with small engine, motor mechanics, and irrigation repair preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Candidate needs to know, understand, incorporate, and demonstrate the Organization's Mission, Vision, and Values in behaviors, practices, and decisions.
  • Ability to follow written/verbal instructions .
  • Completes all tasks under direct supervision of the supervisor or other department staff as assigned.
  • Performs duties so that instructions and procedures are followed and safety rules are observed.
  • Maintains turf areas using appropriate tools and techniques.
  • Cares for all gardens and flowerbeds by chemical and physical weeding; removes cigarettes and debris.
  • Prunes flowers, shrubs, bushes, and trees using appropriate tools and techniques.
  • Conducts routine maintenance on grounds equipment and fleet vehicles.
  • Operates snow removal equipment.
  • Reports any issues to Supervisor or upper level staff.
  • Writes work orders for repairs needed on equipment.
