Join our team and discover why we are a top veteran employer and Certified Great Place to Work™ SUMMARY: ASRC Federal Field Services provides logistical support at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center in North Charleston (FLETC Federal Complex). We are looking for a Groundskeeper to join our team. Sign on Bonus for this position! Description: Cut grass, using walking-type and riding-type mowers Trim hedges and edge around sidewalks, flower beds and other structures Prune shrubs and trees to shape using shears, pole saws, and other hand tools Spread mulch and pine-straw Water flower beds or newly installed sod as needed Weed removal from flower beds and planters Post-storm clean-up including removal of fallen limbs and wind-blown debris Use a blower and vacuum mulcher to clear sidewalks, streets, and parking lots of debris Inspect, clean and account for all landscaping equipment Report all concerns to Grounds Lead/Manager Other duties as assigned by manager
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED preferred.
- Must be a US Citizen
- Must possess a Real ID or U.S. Passport
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
- Must have a valid driver's license and be able to operate a motor vehicle
- Must be able to operate zero turn lawnmowers, chainsaws, string trimmers, sprayers, hedge trimmers, rakes and shovels
- Must be able to lift 30 lbs. unassisted
- Must be able to lift, push, sit, strand and walk for long periods of time.
- Must be able to pass a background investigation and pass a drug and physical exam
Responsibilities
- Cut grass, using walking-type and riding-type mowers
