About The Position

The Groundskeeper will maintain and repair campus grounds and facilities such as lawns, trees, shrubs, flowers, roads, sidewalks and parking lots. This position operates and adjusts hand and motorized equipment and vehicles, including mowers, tractors, trucks, and other related equipment. Responsibilities also include painting posts, equipment, sign frames and cases, and other assigned items, as well as maintaining the cleanliness and organization of work and storage areas, tools, vehicles, and equipment used in the performance of duties. The role assists skilled tradespersons as needed, maintains athletic fields and nature trails, and promptly reports any damage, malfunctions, irregularities, or potential hazards involving buildings, grounds, equipment, vehicles, or supplies to a supervisor. The position utilizes the CMMS (School Dude) to complete assigned tasks and performs other duties as assigned. Requirements

Graduation from high school or equivalent combination of education and directly related experience is necessary.
Have a valid driver's license.
Working knowledge of tools, equipment, and methods used in grounds maintenance is necessary.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
