About The Position
Join our team at Canterbury House in Michigan City! Maintain grounds and outdoor areas, assist with snow removal and light maintenance, and keep the community looking its best. $200 boot stipend included. POSITION SUMMARY: Make sure the grounds are free of trash. Clean and sweep up trash and handle or assist with trash-outs of units.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Less than 1 year of experience
- Ability to read, write, speak and interpret basic instructions, simple correspondence and present information one-on-one or in small groups.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide by 10s & 100s
- Ability to carry out detailed, but uninvolved written or oral instructions with common sense understanding. Ability to deal with problems that involve few variables in standardized situations.
- Beginner computer skills.
Responsibilities
- Pick up trash on grounds
- Clean out hallways
- Snow Removal
- Trash-outs of vacated units including but not limited to removal of debris, furniture, and appliances, painting and minor repair work.
- Other duties as assigned
