About The Position

The Groundskeeper is responsible for maintaining the pristine appearance and health of the Nemacolin's landscaped areas, lawns, gardens, walkways, and outdoor amenities. This role plays a critical part in delivering a five-star first impression and preserving the natural beauty that defines the luxury guest experience. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and takes pride in maintaining immaculate outdoor environments. In the offseason, the Groundskeeper will transition into a role within the snow removal team to support the property throughout the winter months. Requirements

At least 2 years of education in a related field or equivalent work experience preferred.
Ability to work efficiently and prioritize multiple assignments.
Demonstrate initiative by identifying problems and taking actions to solve them.
Communicate effectively with supervisor and colleagues across many departments.
Ability to work independently, with little supervision as well as part of a team.

We need the neat freaks and attention to detail associates that are making the Resort shine.

Responsibilities

Water plants in greenhouses, indoor displays and landscape.
Maintain healthy attractive plants by deadheading, pruning and fertilizing as needed.
Identify and treat pest and disease problems on plants with integrated pest management techniques.
Weed gardens by hand-pulling or using herbicides as appropriate.
Use and maintain all hand tools necessary for garden maintenance.
Apply chemicals as needed and maintain records as required by law.
Operate and maintain power tools such as leaf blower or string trimmer as needed.
Drive and operate heavy machinery such as dump truck, skid steer, tractor, water trailer, and snow plow.
Work as a member of the snow removal team, including being on-call as needed.
Preform other miscellaneous duties as assigned by supervisor.
