About The Position

POSITION SUMMARY: To maintain all the grounds (paved and unpaved areas), landscaping (to includes snow removal), and minor repairs to grounds. The duties of a groundskeeper include fertilizing lawns, trees, and bushes as well as maintaining the landscape on the property. Maintain the aesthetic appeal of our outside spaces by maintaining well-kept lawns, trimmed hedges, trim shrubs, clutter-free paths, and trash pickup. To ensure the facility is kept looking great all year long.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) years' groundskeeping maintenance and/or landscape experience required.
• Good organizational skills.
• Ability to effectively communicate (oral and in writing) and interact with customers to meet their needs.
• Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision.
• Ability to work cooperatively within a team environment.
• Ability to handle frequent interruptions and adapt to changes in workload and work schedule.
• Ability to set priorities, make effective decisions, and respond quickly to customer's needs.
• Ability to recognize and deal with problematic situations and to prioritize.
• Uses discretion in confidential matters.
• Driver’s License - current and valid New Jersey driver's license.
• Employees must adhere to all procedural guidelines in HR Policy 1-13 including demonstrating an acceptable driving record for the duration of their employment as long as driving continues to be a responsibility of the job.
