About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated Groundskeeper to join our multi-family housing community and play a vital role in maintaining a clean, attractive, and welcoming environment for our residents and guests. Working under the direction of the Community Manager and/or Maintenance Supervisor, this position is responsible for the overall care and upkeep of the property's grounds, parking areas, and common areas. The Groundskeeper helps ensure that the community consistently reflects pride, safety, and high standards of housekeeping and property maintenance. In this role, you will support the daily appearance and functionality of the community by performing a wide range of housekeeping and grounds responsibilities. This includes maintaining interior common areas such as hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, stairways, elevators, fitness center, workshops, and other shared spaces. Duties involve sweeping, scrubbing, waxing, and polishing floors; cleaning rugs, carpets, and upholstered furniture; dusting furniture and equipment; polishing metalwork; and washing walls, ceilings, woodwork, windows, door panels, and sills. Attention to detail is essential to ensure all lighting fixtures, trim, and surfaces remain clean and well-maintained. The Groundskeeper is also responsible for exterior upkeep, including maintaining landscaping and overall curb appeal throughout the multi-family housing community. This includes maintaining green spaces, removing debris, shoveling snow when necessary, and ensuring parking areas and walkways remain clean, orderly, and safe. Additional responsibilities include transporting trash and waste to designated disposal areas, emptying waste receptacles, replenishing restroom supplies, replacing light bulbs, and assisting with the movement of small equipment or tools between departments. We are looking for a team member who is dependable, proactive, and takes pride in their work. The ideal candidate can take direction well from leadership while also demonstrating the initiative to lead themselves-identifying areas that need attention and addressing them without being prompted. Strong time management skills, reliability, and a commitment to maintaining high standards in housekeeping and grounds maintenance are essential. Participation in regular meetings and training sessions is expected to support continued growth and alignment with community goals. This position follows a Tuesday through Saturday work schedule.
