Requirements

No formal education required.
Previous experience in similar role/landscaping preferred.
Ability to operate various types of power equipment including lawnmowers, trimmers, hedge trimmers, leaf blowers, and other landscaping equipment.
Ability to use hand tools required for landscaping.
Ability to follow instructions and complete assignments.
Knowledge of landscaping techniques and processes.
Excellent time management skills.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the daily inspection and overall upkeep and maintenance of hotel building and grounds.
Clean & care for buildings, facilities, and exterior of property to ensure they are maintained in a safe, clean and neat condition.
Perform a range of landscaping operations that may include using garden and landscaping equipment for mowing, painting, pruning, trimming, installation of plant material, care of flowers and bedding plants.
Repair damaged grounds areas.
Notify management of any repairs needed (lighting, public areas, parking lot, etc.).
Spread fertilizers, herbicides, or insecticides onto grass, shrubs, and trees.
Assist with performing minor electrical and mechanical repairs
Empty all common area waste baskets and keep receptacles clean
Attend safety meetings & other related meetings.
Respond to guest requests and questions and report guest issues and complaints in a hospitable manner to ensure guest satisfaction.
Responsible for the care, maintenance and inventory of all supplies and equipment owned by the property.
Other duties as assigned.
