About The Position
Position Summary: The Groundskeeper is responsible for maintaining the campus grounds and athletic fields. Will assist in the daily operations pertaining to the overall care of the campus.
Requirements
- Time management
- Ability to operate different types of equipment
- Plant installation and care
- Service equipment as needed
- Ability to follow instructions and complete assignments
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Excellent attendance
- Ability to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience preferred
- On-the-job training offered
- A valid driver’s license
- Experience with applying fertilizer
- Experience applying pre-emergent herbicides
Nice To Haves
- Commercial Applicator license preferred
Responsibilities
- Mow the lawn
- Mulch landscape beds
- Maintain synthetic turf fields
- Snow removal
- Prep athletic fields for practice and games
- Plant shrubs/perennials/prune trees
- Removal of trash on grounds/trash cans
- Some custodial cleaning of restrooms/locker rooms
- Perform other duties as needed
