About The Position

Works under the supervision of the Supervisor of Grounds. Essential Job Functions: Maintains awareness of proper safety precautions at all times Inspect and remove weeds from all beds, curb lines, parking areas, etc… Responsible for weekly mowing, trimming and blowing of campus Creating new planting beds as needed – tilling soil, weed barriers, soil preparation, etc… Planting and transplanting of plants around property as needed Fall clean-up for as long as necessary to keep the property looking its best Snow & ice removal with grounds crew and assistance from maintenance as needed. Performs duties such as pruning, trimming, planting as needed. Performs any other duties and responsibilities that may become necessary or as directed by Supervisor. Responsible for assisting with event setup and takedowns Daily rounds to ensure the facility is presenting at its best (setup of exterior table/chair/umbrellas, flower trimming, trash pickup, etc…) Key Characteristics: Demonstrates neatness, accuracy and dependability. Demonstrates an ability to work with others. Ability to work independently. Ability to work in cost and time efficient manner. Wears appropriate clothing/uniform. Appearance is neat and well kept. Relates well with residents; is friendly and pleasant. Demonstrates good safety habits—uses equipment appropriately. Attendance/punctuality—comes to work when scheduled and on time. Attends required in-services. Work Area and Working Conditions: The entire campus of Elim Park facility. Physical Requirements: Must be in good general health and demonstrate mental and emotional stability Must be able to lift a minimum of 50-75 lbs. Must be able to stoop, kneel, bend, sit, stand, lift, squat and move easily. Must be able to drive. Equipment to be used: All grounds equipment and vehicles. Trucks, Tractors, Golf Carts, Mowers, Snow removal equipment, trimmers, blowers, snow blowers, etc… Key Accountabilities (with or without reasonable accommodation): Maintains all grounds to high community standards. Prioritizes grounds care and maintenance activity. Responsible for overall general appearance of the building exterior and grounds.

Requirements
