We’re looking for a dependable and service-oriented Groundskeeper, this position maintains the community at the direction of Manager and Board including but not limited to grounds, amenities, and exterior common areas. Responsibilities also include light maintenance as needed related to painting, irrigation repair, lighting service, fence repair, use of hand tools, power tools, snow-blower

Requirements

  • Previous groundskeeping or landscaping experience is a must.
  • Knowledge of plants and flowers, including their maintenance requirements, gardening methods, and groundskeeping practices.
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Reliability, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, resident-focused environment.
  • Position involves standing and movement throughout the day
  • An understanding of irrigation and low voltage for irrigation
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in residential facilities is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform regular mowing, edging, and fertilizing to maintain healthy lawns
  • Weed and mulch landscape beds to enhance plant growth and appearance
  • Trim small trees, hedges, and shrubs to maintain a clean, professional landscape
  • Remove unwanted, dead, or damaged trees as necessary to preserve landscape aesthetics and safety.
  • Plant shrubs, flowers, and trees to maintain and enhance landscape design
  • Water gardens, lawns, and landscapes consistently to ensure optimal plant health.
  • Monitor and maintain plant health by inspecting for pests, diseases, and nutrient deficiencies.
  • Oversee irrigation systems, including monitoring run times and troubleshooting.
  • Repair drip lines and solve leaks to ensure effective and efficient water distribution.
  • Maintain a professional courteous manner with all Residents, Vendors, Contractors, and Staff
  • Assist vendors or sub-contractors that may be called to the Community
  • Keep, maintain, and secure Community Property(tools)
  • Check and inspect all Community roads, walks, entryway, garages, and gates regularly for hazardous conditions which may or may not exist.
  • Inspect and maintain community areas, pool & spa, landscaping areas, dumpster areas, and other recreational or common areas.
  • Initiate, complete, and assign work orders for maintenance items.
  • Maintain inventory of supplies needed for the Community as approved.
  • Pick-up trash and debris throughout Community
  • Regular pick-up of pet waste on grounds, emptying stations
  • Snow removal and mitigation as needed in conjunction with vendors.
  • Remove graffiti, painting, etc. as applicable.
  • Cleaning, sweeping, hosing sidewalks, parking garage and driveways, etc.
