Requirements

Must be in good physical condition in order to bend, walk, stoop, and travel long distances across grounds.
Valid driver’s license.
Ability to lift 50 lb.
Willingness to work in multiple locations on occasion.
Ability to work alone following complex instructions.
Desire to work outdoors in Minnesota weather conditions.
Familiarity with working with light power equipment such as leaf blowers and tiller.
Knowledge of perennial and annual plants often used in Minnesota; their watering and care.
Experience with planting annuals and container planting.
Willingness to travel to designated "home store" location for work (This could be our Fridley, Maplewood, Apple Valley, Eden Prairie, Plymouth or Minneapolis location)

Responsibilities

Prepare, plant and maintain all exterior garden beds & containers at a designated store location and as a group for the Bachman’s store locations.
Perform basic plant cultivation, pruning, trimming and weed control.
Perform general clean up duties in parking lots, loading areas, entry areas and walkways.
Remove weeds to improve the landscape aesthetics.
Assist in installing new garden projects.
Operate power equipment like line trimmers, backpack blowers, pressure washers and tillers.
Provide inter-departmental support in delivery and other odd jobs as needed.
Multitask and manage work hours to accomplish a variety of projects on property.
