About the position
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Groundskeeper to maintain the beauty and functionality of our golf course and resort grounds. The ideal candidate will have a passion for landscaping and a commitment to providing an exceptional experience for our guests.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the overall appearance and health of the golf course, including greens, fairways, and bunkers.
- Mow, trim, and edge grass areas to ensure a well-manicured landscape.
- Apply fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides as needed, following safety protocols.
- Monitor and maintain irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of the course.
- Assist in the planting and care of trees, shrubs, and flowers throughout the property.
- Conduct regular inspections of the course to identify and address any maintenance issues.
- Collaborate with the golf course management team to implement seasonal maintenance plans.
- Maintain equipment and tools in good working condition, performing repairs as necessary.
Requirements
- Previous experience in groundskeeping or landscaping, preferably in a golf course setting preferred.
- Knowledge of turf management, horticulture, and pest control practices preferred.
- Ability to operate and maintain landscaping equipment and machinery.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality work.
- Good physical stamina and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work a varied schedule including weekends and holidays.
