About The Position
A Day in the Life of a Groundskeeper/Maintenance Worker at THE SUMMIT involves being familiar with all aspects of landscape architecture and working diligently to maintain the highest quality appearance of all exterior property. The role requires keeping the living and work environment clean and safe at all times, adhering to safety procedures, and being knowledgeable about the fire and disaster plan, including familiarity with fire pulls, extinguishers, and emergency phone numbers. The Groundskeeper continuously monitors for any potentially hazardous conditions and takes corrective actions when possible. The responsibilities also include maintaining all community grounds and landscaping, ensuring that areas are free of trash, debris, and weeds. The Groundskeeper assists with snow and ice removal by plowing and clearing sidewalks. Additionally, the role involves observing label hazards and the proper use of chemicals, insecticides, and pesticides, as well as organizing and maintaining Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS). The Groundskeeper also assists in ordering supplies and maintaining organized stock rooms.
