Groundskeeper will perform a variety of tasks in weed and litter control at designated County facilities.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED
Experience in grounds keeping, landscaping, or general maintenance work.
Complete the post-offer employment medical examination.
Comply with the safety guidelines of the County.
This position is safety sensitive.
Employment is subject to a pre-employment and random drug testing in accordance with all terms and conditions of federal and state rules and regulations regarding alcohol and/or drug testing.
Complete required FEMA training(s) as assigned to position.
Employee must possess and maintain a valid New Mexico driver's license.

Responsibilities

Maintain County facilities by pulling or cutting weeds from tree wells and open areas.
Remove all trash and other debris from County maintained properties.
Operate power equipment such as push mower, sickle mower and sprayer.
Assist in spraying of weeds, applying fertilizers and trimming shrubs.
Incumbent(s) in this classification may handle sensitive and/or confidential records, plans, documents or decisions that require maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.
Any one position may not include all duties listed.
However, the allocation of positions will be determined by the amount of time spent performing the essential duties listed above.
