About The Position

AFW is looking for a Groundskeeper who will be able to provide professional landscaping services for our entire facility. The Groundskeeper will be responsible for performing ongoing landscaping tasks, as well as routine maintenance of all landscaping equipment. The Groundskeeper is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and the outside appearance of the facility. If you have experience in landscaping and a strong attention to detail, then AFW is looking for you. Starting pay of $16/hr. Requirements

Knowledge of personal protective equipment (PPE) and the ability to safely use personal protective equipment (PPE).
Knowledge of fertilizers, insecticides, and herbicides used in grounds care and gardening.
Experience using power tools, pruning tools, and lawn mowers.
Able to have a flexible schedule and work all shifts, holidays, and weekends.
Requires the ability to maneuver in confined and at times congested areas
Requires the ability to stand, walk, stoop, & bend for 8 hours or more daily
Requires constant use of arms, hands, fingers, eyes, legs, and back.
Requires lift, lower, push and pull all sizes of equipment, trees, shrubs, etc. up to 100 lbs. frequently
The Groundskeeper position requires lifting, bending, kneeling, stooping and moving equipment 8 hours or more daily.

Responsibilities

Mow the lawns, prune the bushes and trees, edge the walkways and give the grounds a manicured look.
Operate snow removal equipment during the winter (For Colorado Stores) to keep all of the walkways and building entrances cleared and safe.
Perform regular maintenance and minor repairs on the lawn care equipment and tools.
Take on special landscaping or planting projects as deemed necessary by the AFW management team.
Collaborate with the maintenance team to make sure the grounds and the building are always properly cared and clean up to AFW standards.
Plants shrubs, trees, and flowers.
Sprays for weeds and insects using chemicals approved by AFW.
Report all acts of vandalism, destruction of property and suspicious behavior to management.
Report all property issues and potential liabilities along with recommendations for solving such issues to the AFW management team.
Spreads salt, picks up litter, rakes and bags leaves.
Repairs fences, gates, walls, and irrigation systems, using carpentry, masonry and painting tools.
May operate trucks and assorted power equipment, such as mowers, tractors, twin-axle vehicles, snow blowers, chain saws, electric clippers, sod cutters, and pruning saws.
Ability to efficiently work independent of direct supervision.
Maintain a neat and safe work environment.
