About The Position

Performs turf mowing functions on commercial zero-turn mowers. Operates large farm type tractors with implements such as mowers, spreaders, edger's, tillers, leaf sweepers, etc., used in turf and landscape maintenance in a safe and efficient manner. Performs grounds maintenance tasks in assigned work areas. Drives state vehicles that requires a Class E driver's license. Performs and documents equipment safety checks. Assists mechanic in servicing assigned equipment. Employee must possess and maintain valid Florida Class E driver's license. Employee must possess or obtain within (6) months of employment GI-BMP Certification. Position requires a criminal background check and post offer health assessment. NORMAL WORK SCHEDULE: 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday Position considered as Essential Personnel as defined by UF Policy

Requirements

• Completion of ninth grade and one year of relevant experience.
• Employee must possess and maintain valid Florida Class E driver's license.
• Employee must possess or obtain within (6) months of employment GI-BMP Certification.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Two years' experience in running mowers and tractors
