Groundskeeper I (Seasonal)
About The Position
Uintah County is seeking a dedicated Groundskeeper to perform a variety of entry-level field maintenance and operational duties for our cemetery. In this role, you will be responsible for all phases of cemetery care, from professional turf management and landscaping—including mowing, weeding, and pruning—to the precise execution of burial services. You will operate and maintain a diverse range of equipment, including backhoes, dump trucks, and commercial mowers, to assist with opening and closing gravesites, directing funeral processions, and ensuring the structural integrity of headstones and markers. Additionally, this position requires outdoor work, including the maintenance of automated irrigation systems and seasonal snow removal to ensure the grounds remain safe and beautiful.
Requirements
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Possess a valid Driver’s License
- Candidates must be at least 18 years of age
