About The Position

This position is responsible for the overall maintenance and upkeep of all outside facility grounds. This position ensures the confidentiality, security, and accuracy of guest’s records, and promotes positive guest and team member relations. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required and outstanding guest service to fellow team members, guests, vendors, etc. is expected. Regular attendance is required, and on occasion, later hours or weekend time may be required with project deadlines and a neat well-groomed professional appearance is essential at all times.

Requirements

  • A High School Diploma or GED is required for this position.
  • Must be a minimum of 18 years old and have the ability to obtain and retain a Washington State Class II Gaming License; successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen; and have and maintain a driving record that at least meets the minimum requirements established by Lucky Eagle Casino & Hotel vehicle insurance provider.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in grounds-keeping is helpful but not required.
  • General gardening knowledge is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Upkeep all grounds. Including the flowerbeds, surrounding areas, and lawns. May include fertilizing, weeding, mowing planting, laying beauty bark and tree trimming.
  • Maintains all lawns.
  • In winter, responsible for keeping all walkways and entrances clear of ice/snow for safety.
  • Empties outside garbage cans.
  • Keep parking areas, sidewalks, adjacent roadsides, valet area and flowerbeds free of debris and trash.
  • Keeps exterior building surfaces and walkways visually pleasing.
  • Feed, prune and otherwise promote healthy growth of desired plants among the Lucky Eagle Casino & Hotel properties and immediate grounds.
  • Maintain a professional appearance of services area behind kitchen, bar, generator, etc.
  • Assists as needed with events.
  • Is courteous, friendly, and helpful with customers and Team Members.
  • Works safety and efficiently, utilizing safe equipment, techniques, and products.
  • Is current on facility Disaster Plan and acts accordingly.
  • May assist other maintenance as requested.
  • Hauling slop cans and baling cardboard.
  • Ability to become lift and fork truck certified within 90 days of employment.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
