Groundkeeper tasks include, but are not limited to, inspecting, testing and maintaining the grounds and surrounding landscape of Mayo Clinic properties free of debris, clean, safe, and in good appearance. Performs maintenance and preventative maintenance functions, including lawn care, landscaping, grounds equipment and weather-related maintenance. Assist with emptying trash cans daily throughout the site and performing other porter duties such as picking up litter. Must be able to operate and maintain equipment for groundskeeping. Ability to operate and maintain equipment for irrigation is preferred. Must document all activities in the electronic work order system. Physical requirements include standing, stooping, bending, lifting, climbing, reaching, pulling, and pushing up to 50 pounds. Interact professionally with patients, visitors, contractors, and Mayo Clinic staff.
