Primary Purpose: Performs maintenance activities on parks grounds, building, recreational and athletic facilities and small equipment in accordance with established procedures for proper maintenance of equipment, departmental operation and safety.
Mow fairway, greens, and rough areas using specific techniques common to golf course care and upkeep
Safely operate lawn and turf maintenance equipment
Maintain, clean and store assigned equipment according to established policies and procedures.
Dig and/or fill holes using shovels or other lawn care equipment
Assists in leveling out tee boxes
Assists in spreading fertilizer
Assists in repairs of irrigation systems
Assists in golf cart maintenance including, flat tire repair and battery maintenance
General upkeep of the maintenance barn
Clear and valid Texas driver's license
Ability to understand and follow detailed written or verbal instructions
Ability to communicate effectively with others
General knowledge of materials, equipment and methods used in the trade
Mechanical aptitude
Prefer 2 years' experience in landscaping, lawncare, and other agricultural work at a golf course
Experience in operating zero-turn mowers and tractors pulling mowers that are PTO driven
Prefer experience in managing pond algae
