About The Position

Under general supervision from supervisor or guidance from higher level staff, performs all duties required of Groundskeeper 1 plus skilled grounds maintenance tasks. Performs other duties as assigned; works primarily first shift within Facilities Operations and Development Landscape Services, but is subject to changes in shift, hours, days, and/or location as operations dictate; may work overtime; subject to 24 hour emergency call in. Will require successful completion of a criminal background check.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Six (6) months experience in grounds maintenance or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Upon employment, must pass and maintain current Ohio pesticide operator's license categories 6A or 6C and 8
• Requires valid Ohio driver license and evidence of satisfactory driving record for insurability by university.
• May be required to comply with periodic safety requirements prescribed by state and/or federal standards.
• Documentation of successful completion of department-specific, advanced grounds maintenance training.
