About The Position

Colby Community College is seeking a dynamic individual to serve as Grounds Supervisor to plan, supervise, and maintain Colby Community college's outdoor spaces, ensuring a safe, attractive, and functional environment for student, faculty, staff, and visitors, while living in a welcoming community that values agriculture, athletics, and small-town quality of life. The salary range for this position is between $21.50 - $23.10 . The College offers up to $2,000 in relocation expense reimbursement, to join our wonderful community. This is a 12-month, full-time, non-faculty position with an anticipated schedule of at least 40 hours per week. Evening, weekend work may be required due to College operations.

Requirements

High School Diploma / GED.
At least one year of experience in custodial or maintenance operations is required.

Nice To Haves

Associate's Degree or higher is preferred.
Three years of experience in custodial or maintenance operations is preferred.

Responsibilities

Oversee the care and maintenance of all campus grounds, including lawns, trees, shrubs, sprinkler system, and flowerbeds.
Manage seasonal responsibilities such as snow removal, leaf collection, and storm cleanup to ensure safe access to campus.
Implement landscaping plans that promote campus aesthetics and environmental sustainability.
Oversee the application of fertilizers, pesticides, and herbicides in compliance with environmental and safety standards.
Oversee the use, care, and maintenance of groundskeeping equipment, vehicles, and tools.
Recommend and purchase supplies, equipment, and materials necessary for grounds operations.
Ensure safe and efficient operation of equipment by staff through training and oversight.
Clean, maintain, put down, and remove salt from the College grounds during winter storms.
