About The Position

Under the direction of the EHS Coordinator, the Facility Grounds Worker supports the EHS team by executing essential repair and upkeep tasks in alignment with safety, quality, and operational standards. This role is responsible for self-managing daily groundskeeping and structural maintenance duties, utilizing a variety of hand tools, power equipment, and company vehicles with minimal direct supervision. By proactively identifying repair needs, maintaining a clean and safe environment, and accurately tracking task completion, the Facility Grounds Worker ensures consistent facility flow and site safety while contributing to the overall efficiency of the production environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1 – 3 Years of experience in groundskeeping or general facility maintenance.
  • Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
  • Forklift Certification or ability to obtain one.
  • Skilled in operating powered equipment and industrial tools.
  • Strong understanding of OSHA guidelines, PPE requirements, and the handling of hazardous materials (SDS).
  • Ability to perform strenuous labor, climb ladders, and lift/move up to 75 lbs. regularly.
  • Strong communication skills, a high level of self-motivation, and a keen eye for safety and detail.
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage daily tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to identify facility needs and safety hazards before they are assigned.
  • Excellent attendance record and a high level of personal accountability.

Responsibilities

  • Execute general repairs on buildings and physical structures to ensure facility integrity.
  • Support sanitation efforts by cleaning buildings and industrial machinery.
  • Troubleshoot facility issues by identifying, reporting, and resolving maintenance needs.
  • Utilize specialized equipment, including powered cleaning tools and forklifts, in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Manage logistics for parts and materials using company vehicles for pickups and deliveries.
  • Collaborate with Maintenance Technicians and provide cross-functional support to production teams.
  • Perform industrial painting on electrical components and related infrastructure.
  • Assemble site safety and access structures, including barricades, scaffolds, hoists, and rigging.
