About The Position

Grounds Maintenance Workers perform landscape, garden and greenhouse duties such as planting, pruning, mowing, trimming, watering, fertilizing, weeding and snow and ice prevention and removal; and operate hand and power tools, power mowers, tractor mowers, trenching devices, forklifts and hoists. This position is with the Nevada National Guard at the Battle Born Youth Challenge Academy (BBYCA) in Carlin. The Grounds Maintenance Worker III is responsible for maintaining facility grounds through a variety of landscaping, gardening, and greenhouse tasks. Duties include planting, pruning, mowing, trimming, watering, fertilizing, weeding, and the removal and prevention of snow and ice to ensure a safe and well-kept environment. This position also performs construction and repair work using hand and power tools, mowers, and trenching equipment.

Responsibilities
