Sandestin Golf & Beach Resort is in search of a dedicated and experienced Ground Maintenance Technician to join our team. The selected candidate will play a vital role in preserving the visual appeal and functionality of our four championship golf courses. Working closely with the groundskeeping team, the Ground Maintenance Technician will ensure the landscapes are maintained at peak condition, contributing to an exceptional experience for our guests.

Requirements

• Previous experience in golf course maintenance or landscaping is preferred.
• Knowledge of turf management practices, irrigation systems, and landscaping techniques.
• Ability to operate and maintain groundskeeping equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Execute regular maintenance tasks related to turf care, including mowing, edging, aerating, and fertilizing to uphold the impeccable condition of the golf courses.
• Monitor and sustain the irrigation systems to ensure proper functioning, making necessary repairs or adjustments as needed.
• Contribute to the planning and execution of landscaping projects, encompassing planting, pruning, and maintaining flower beds and other ornamental features.
• Competently operate and maintain groundskeeping equipment such as mowers, tractors, and other specialized machinery.
• Implement effective pest control measures to safeguard the turf, plants, and trees from pests and diseases.
• Collaborate in the setup of the golf courses for daily play, tournaments, and special events, ensuring that all aspects meet the highest standards.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols, ensuring a secure working environment for yourself and others.
• Work closely with the groundskeeping team, golf professionals, and other resort staff to coordinate efforts and address specific needs.
