About The Position

We have an exciting opportunity for a Grounds and Maintenance Officer to join the supportive team at St Mary's CPS, Orange. About you The new Grounds and Maintenance Officer will: Be experienced in ground maintenance with the ability to carry out numerous gardening duties around the school ground (eg. weeding, edging, pruning etc) Hold good knowledge of lawn maintenance and cultivation Be prepared to care for our school chickens and maintain their enclosure. Be able to work without supervision while meeting deadlines Attend to minor maintenance issues around the school Liaise with relevant trades when necessary Have good communication skills and be able to work as part of a team Hold a current Working with Children’s Check Hold a current White Card and Drivers’ Licence Demonstrate a commitment to the ethos of the Catholic faith and mission of the school

Requirements

• Experienced in ground maintenance
• Knowledge of lawn maintenance and cultivation
• Ability to work without supervision and meet deadlines
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team
• Current Working with Children’s Check
• Current White Card and Drivers’ Licence
• Commitment to the ethos of the Catholic faith and mission of the school
