About The Position

As a Grounds Maintenance Account Manager, you’ll own a book of business and the outcomes behind it: budgeting, sales, job management, quality, and retention across mowing, bed maintenance, enhancements, irrigation, turf, and plant healthcare.

Requirements

  • 3+ years in landscape maintenance account management or operations with direct client ownership
  • Proven track record selling/renewing maintenance services and generating enhancement upsells
  • Hands-on credibility across maintenance services; comfortable on site and in the field
  • Route/schedule planning experience with shifting priorities and weather constraints
  • Strong communication with customers and crews; steady under pressure
  • Ability to manage to KPIs (hours vs. estimate, GM, quality, safety) and take data-driven action
  • Experience with Aspire (or similar) and basic Excel; BambooHR familiarity is a plus
  • Valid driver’s license; insurable driving record; available for seasonal peaks and snow operations

Responsibilities

  • Set yearly budgets: collaborate with the Division Director to set ambitious but attainable goals, based on historical data and a strategic approach to growth.
  • Be part of the community: actively represent Green View through involvement in non-profits and community organizations that are aligned with Green View’s core values, where you’ll build and maintain lasting relationships with community leaders, trade partners and potential future customers.
  • Drive sales: prospect, qualify, estimate, and close maintenance contracts and seasonal add-ons; renew recurring contracts each year; generate enhancement upsells from site walks; take part in ongoing sales and communication training to further develop your skills
  • Lead operations: plan weekly schedules and optimize routes, align labor and materials, and make field adjustments to hit deadlines and quality standards.
  • Support clients: serve as primary contact; conduct site walks; present proposals; resolve issues quickly; ensure payments are promptly collected; protect margin and relationships.
  • Develop teams: coach crew leaders; set expectations; lead weekly team meetings; run quality audits and tailgate talks; reinforce safety and workmanship.
  • Manage to numbers: track on-site %, hours vs. estimated, callbacks, incidents, and gross margin; take corrective action when indicators slip.
  • Coordinate resources: partner with Inventory/Shop on materials and equipment readiness; align with Office/Admin on invoicing accuracy.
  • Winter operations: plan and execute snow program (routes, callouts, vendor coordination) for your accounts.
