About The Position

Under direction of Grounds Supervisor or other appropriate staff is responsible to perform a wide variety of grounds maintenance activities and related duties as assigned.

Requirements

1 year experience in grounds keeping or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Good skill in the use of hand and power tools
Ability to follow simple instructions
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure
Required to be able to kneel, bend, walk, reach, lift, sit, stand, climb, balance and crawl
Must be able to move 100 lbs
Valid Driver’s license

Responsibilities

Mow lawns using hand, power, or riding mower: trims and edges around walks, flower beds, walls, etc.
Maintains landscape beds by planting, pruning, weeding, watering, fertilizing and mulching
Prunes trees and shrubs for the purpose of preserving the grounds in a healthy, attractive and safe condition
Prepare grounds for events scheduled by the resort and provide assistance to groups setting up for mass gathering events.
Grade roads and apply dust-settling agents as needed
Remove snow and ice from parking lots, walkways and steps
Ability to operate snow making equipment and oversee the 3rd shift operation of snow guns and performing other tasks as assigned
Blow, rake, mulch and clean up leaves in the spring and fall
Assist other personnel as may be required for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective work environment
Execute all tasks in an efficient and timely manner
