About The Position

In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and general appearance of City streets and sidewalks located in the City's Central Business District.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Six months of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid South Carolina Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Sweeps and cleans streets, sidewalks, and gutters using a Glutton street Vac or a shovel and push broom.
• Operates a Glutton Street vac.
• Removes debris and dirt from sewer grates and catch basins.
• Shovels snow and sand when necessary.
• Cleans litter from vacant lots around the city when necessary.
• Drives a truck and pulls a trailer to and from downtown to deliver the glutton street vac’s to the job site.
• Drives a City vehicle around downtown area to empty City-owned wastebaskets located on sidewalks.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
