About The Position

The Grounds Crew position at Jacksonville Baseball LLC involves assisting in the maintenance of the playing surface at Vystar Ballpark. This part-time, seasonal role is essential for ensuring the field is in optimal condition for games and practices, requiring individuals who are motivated and able to work in various weather conditions.

Requirements

• Strong time-management skills.
• Good interpersonal skills and able to professionally interact with coaches, players and team personnel.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms for extended periods of time.
• Ability to work outside and in all weather conditions.
• Ability to lift 50lbs and pull/push 75 lbs.
• Available to work weekends, holidays, and nights based on schedule.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining the playing surface at Vystar Ballpark including turf areas, infield dirt, mound and home plate areas, bullpens, and warning track.
• Assist with Batting Practice setup & breakdown and field prep for Jumbo Shrimp games.
• Assist with installing and removing the field tarp quickly, efficiently and in all weather-related situations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
