About The Position

The City of Keene is accepting applications for a part-time Grounds and Facilities Maintenance Assistant! Do you prefer a job that requires you to be on your feet and active throughout the day? Would you enjoy the freedom that comes with working part-time hours? Then this position could be what you're looking for! This contract position will work as a member of the Facilities Department and offers a pay range of $21.00- $22.00 per hour. This position will work 20 hours per week, with a flexible Monday through Friday schedule. Duties are varied and will include (but not be limited to) routine maintenance of City facilities and equipment, the installation of new equipment, preventative maintenance of tools and equipment, assisting with repairs, mowing lawns and maintaining grounds, collecting and removing trash, cleaning facilities restrooms and assisting with the preparation for events and facility opening and closing. This position requires frequent public contact, so our team is looking for someone who has a pleasant demeanor, and who enjoys interacting with others.
