About The Position

This Groundperson role supports daily plant operations for Heidelberg Materials, one of the world's largest suppliers of building materials with over 450 locations across the U.S. and Canada and approximately 9,000 employees. The position involves maintaining clean, safe, and organized work areas, assisting with material handling, supporting equipment operation, and performing general labor and housekeeping duties around the plant and yard. The successful candidate will be expected to follow safety procedures, contribute to a strong safety-first culture, and work collaboratively with team members to achieve production and operational goals. Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to work safely and follow operational procedures

  • Ability to work outdoors and adapt to changing conditions

Responsibilities

  • Support daily plant operations by maintaining clean, safe, and organized work areas
  • Assist with material handling, equipment operation support, and general labor tasks
  • Perform basic maintenance and housekeeping duties around plant and yard areas
  • Follow safety procedures and contribute to a strong safety‑first culture
  • Work collaboratively with team members to meet production and operational goals
