About The Position

Expanse Electrical is looking for exceptional people to join our team. We have immediate openings for Class A CDL Groundman/Operators skilled in construction, maintenance, and repair of electrical overhead distribution systems. This position works at various locations and may also be required to travel to another state depending on customer demands. Class A CDL Groundman/Operators will work safely in new construction, maintenance, or repair work of energized and de-energized overhead work. Overhead wire, set poles and anchors, installs transformers, lightening arrestors, cutouts, crossarms, insulators, switches, and switchgear. Will troubleshoot primary and secondary systems, replaces cutout fuses, and clears faulted circuits and systems. Capable to safely install and remove mechanical jumpers, understanding how to obtain a one shot on a re-closer. Must be able to climb different types of structures (wood, steel, etc.) and possess the necessary tools to do so. A lineman/groundman is an entry-level position that assists journeyman linemen with the construction, maintenance, and repair of electrical power lines and equipment. Responsibilities include physical labor like digging trenches and setting poles, preparing and assembling materials and tools, operating utility vehicles and hand tools, performing site cleanup, stocking materials, and ensuring a safe work environment. Requirements

Must have 1 year minimum of recent field experience or Coursework in Powerline trade
Safety-minded and follow safety regulations
Valid Driver's License, Commercial Driver's License
Reliable transportation to travel when necessary
Willing to submit to pre-employment, random and for-cause drug testing
Ability to effectively and regularly converse and comprehend in English
